Position Description:

About the Role
The Client Operations team serves as a central operational liaison that focuses on oversight and enhancement to the portfolio event process, including onboarding new accounts and modifying existing portfolios. As a Client Operations Associate, you will closely partner with client management and work cross-functionally to uncover client needs, translate them into actionable plans, and execute accordingly. You will also work on operations-related projects that enhance custodian communication, optimize workflow, and create operational efficiency.

The role may be based in Austin, TX or Newport Beach, CA.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure all aspects of a portfolio event are handled properly
  • Find opportunities to enhance processes and mitigate risks
  • Work cross-functionally to identify, develop, and implement client solutions and enhance existing processes to improve the client experience
  • Assist in documenting project phases and creating summary reports for company management.
  • Coordinate activities across multiple departments, including: Client Management, Portfolio Management, Product Management, Legal, Compliance, Funds Administration, Analytics, Performance, Operations, as well as external stakeholders (clients, banks, external transition managers, etc.)
  • Contribute to building a strong team by cultivating relationships and illustrate how individual team members affect the success of the entire project
  • Participate in client lifecycle stages and shared ownership of key implementation decision


Position Requirements:

Requirements
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree required
  • 1-4 years of professional experience within the financial markets, preferably focused on fixed income
  • Working or academic knowledge of economics, fixed income fundamentals, or portfolio management
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience working in/with Client Management, Transitions Management or Project Management
  • Experience automating business processes utilizing workflow automation, business intelligence, or other productivity tools
  • Experience in investment operations or with derivatives
