We Offer
You bring the ambition and talent; we'll open exciting new doors for you. Take the next step in your banking career with the Investment Banking & Capital Markets (IBCM) Sophomore Summer Analyst. In this challenging, rewarding 9-week summer program working in the team, you will develop your skills so you can influence tomorrow. Beginning with a one-day company orientation, you'll spend one week in training and eight weeks as an integral part of the IBCM team. This position is within our Investment Bank division, an industry leader in driving the firm's global success.

The Bank believes that bringing together a class of diverse participants, including individuals from traditionally underrepresented ethnic/racial backgrounds (African American/Black, Hispanic/Latinx, Native American, Hawaiian or Pacific Islander), among others, will enrich the Program. Participants are selected based on their academic quality, leadership ability, and interest in financial services.

Over the course of this program you continue to learn and develop through:
  • Unparalleled ongoing training
  • Hearing from experienced senior employees from a variety of divisions in our summer speaker series
  • Mentorship opportunities that help you identify your strengths and plan your career
  • Social activities, community service and networking events to connect you with a range of people from across the firm
  • Continued learning and development through specific desk placements, where you'll receive further training
  • Students who successfully complete the program will be eligible to receive a $7,500 scholarship and may be invited back for a junior year internship.

When you complete your internship, you will have gained crucial experience in all areas of the IB division, and a firm understanding of how a global investment bank functions. Once you've seen the big picture, it's time to paint your own.

Start date: June 5, 2023

Duration: 9 weeks

Academic requirements: You should be graduating from a university in December 2024 or May/June 2025.

Application deadline: September 30, 2022 at 11:59pm ET / Applications will be reviewed on a roll-ing basis.
Your field of responsibility

You will be placed directly into an industry or product group. As a Sophomore Summer Analyst, there will be opportunities to work on deals in your group, gain hands-on experience and work on various aspects of advising and transacting business for clients. You will participate in a formal review at the mid and end points of the summer to discuss your performance throughout the program.

In the program you will gain exposure to the business, learn financial modeling and valuation techniques from experienced professionals, and contribute to innovative deals that are redefining today's corporate landscape.

Your future colleagues

Credit Suisse's Los Angeles office offers an unparalleled Wall Street experience on the West Coast. Junior bankers receive significant execution experience across a broad range of IB products and industries. As a member of the LA office, you will be on small deal teams with significant individual responsibility. The office has traditionally been known for its strength in Leveraged Finance (LFO) and is involved in some of the highest-profile, headline-grabbing LBO financings.
