BASIC PURPOSE: Work collaboratively with the investment team under the guidance of the Chief Investment Officer. It is our role to source, evaluate, and select the world’s best talent within our themes, and we will express our investments through funds, co-investments, and direct investments.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Source, review, and evaluate fund and co-investment opportunities for further consideration Assist in performing exhaustive investment due diligence on compelling opportunities Assist in the development of investment recommendation reports Monitor investments through update calls and meetings with investment managers Update and maintain quarterly reports; maintain information in portfolio management system Track and model expected future cash flows Participate in the investment decision making process Prepare and review presentation materials Liaise with other professionals (e.g., tax, legal, accounting) regarding investment information Other duties assigned, as needed
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Education: Must have excellent academic credentials B.S. and graduate degree in an investment-related field strongly preferred
Experience: Minimum of two years’ experience in a related field (private equity, allocator role, investment research and/or investment banking) Candidates with more experience encouraged to apply as this position will fit the skill level/experience of chosen applicant Investment certifications such as CFA or CAIA, preferred Strong MS Excel and modeling skills, preferred
SKILLS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Skills: Hard Skills: knowledge of Microsoft Office, including word processing, spreadsheet and database applications, investment market specific software Soft Skills: strong presentation skills, outstanding analytical skills, risk assessment, innovator, good verbal and written communication skills, strong time management skills, strong organization skills, excellent relationship builder, sense of urgency, ability to take constructive criticism and strong work ethic
Typical Physical Demands: Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping. Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds. Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator. Requires normal range of hearing and vision. Ability to travel up to 33%
