We are seeking an experienced AVP, Talent to manage the essential full-cycle recruiting functions, internship program, onboarding through the first 90 days and other talent acquisition responsibilities of a growing investment management firm. You will have the opportunity to participate in developing a long-term recruiting strategy and having a tangible impact on business outcomes and candidates' experiences every day. This person must be located within commuting distance of our Newport Beach or Los Angeles office.

What You Will Do:
  • Recruit talented employees who share our values and exceed expectations through performance, accountability and collaboration
  • Collaborate with VP of Human Resources to design and implement overall short- and long-term recruiting strategy, including defining metrics for success
  • Develop and manage undergraduate and MBA internship programs and overall campus recruiting initiatives
  • Work with members of HR and Marketing departments on employer branding initiatives
  • Manage relationships and negotiate terms of agreements with external recruiters
  • Work with VP of HR and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Council to ensure recruiting practices are equitable and inclusive and attract candidates from diverse backgrounds and experiences
  • Design effective job descriptions and compelling job ads
  • Guide hiring managers on best practices in candidate selection
  • Manage the onboarding process, including coordinating hiring managers, IT and Administration departments to ensure smooth integration
  • Manage the candidate and new hire experience up to their 90-day mark
  • Coordinate New Hire Lunches with a member of Executive leadership
  • Be an expert user of firm's Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
  • Proactively cultivate talent pools to enhance recruitment pipeline
  • Source passive candidates using databases and social media
  • Coordinate interviews and manage outreach to candidates
  • Conduct phone screens and assessments of candidates
  • Keep up to date on innovations in recruitment methods and legislative implications
  • Assist with other general HR duties as necessary

What You Have:
  • Enthusiastic team player with passion for recruiting and employee experience
  • 7+ years of experience recruiting for all levels of roles from entry-level to executive
  • Experience with campus recruiting and internship programs
  • Experience working with external recruiters
  • Skilled at contract negotiation (offers with candidates and contracts with external recruiters and other vendors)
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and manage a high volume of tasks, including managing 10+ open requisitions at a time on top of other projects and initiatives
  • Knowledge of Federal and California employment regulations and best practices (knowledge of Florida, Massachusetts and multi-state employment regulations a plus)
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS)
  • Hands-on experience with LinkedIn Recruiter and other sourcing tools
  • Extremely organized and detail-oriented
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • High integrity and ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information
  • Experience in investment management industry preferred
  • HR and/or Talent Acquisition certifications preferred
  • Generalist HR experience preferred
