Role Overview

We seek a results-oriented, strategic marketer to join our Global Product Marketing team in our Newport Beach, CA, or Austin, TX, offices. The ideal candidate will combine financial industry knowledge, an investor-centric mindset, and a strong understanding of marketing tactics to lead the strategy and execution of product marketing efforts in their respective coverage areas.

Responsibilities

The key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Provide product insight into mapping, execution, and evaluation of customer experiences and customized client journeys across sales segments in partnership with Digital and Integrated Marketing teams
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Analytics team to uncover insights and metrics-backed recommendations, using data to influence stakeholders and advise future marketing strategy
  • Apply a data-driven approach to content production and support utilization of sales enablement technologies to improve global efficiencies, maximize resources and better evaluate efforts
  • Keep abreast of the changing market environments, ensuring client needs are anticipated and opportunities are addressed promptly
  • Prioritize, plan, implement, and measure product marketing initiatives that enhance commercial opportunities for the firm
  • Partner closely with Product Strategy Group (PSG) stakeholders, providing strategic oversight and day-to-day execution of marketing activities supporting various investment solutions
  • Provide messaging guidance to marketing teams for product / asset-class focused marketing programs and ensure global consistency
  • Manage the development and production of marketing materials - which may include sales collateral, webcasts, videos, and related content - across a fully integrated communications platform
Qualifications
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Business/Finance, Economics, or Marketing/Communications
  • Minimum five years of experience in the financial services or investment management industry, preferably on a client-facing or marketing team
  • Experience with asset management and retail/intermediary distribution and/or financial services marketing (e.g., marketing, sales, product or portfolio-related role within an investment or wealth management organization)
  • Collegial attitude with the ability to develop strong, collaborative relationships with individuals at varying levels of seniority across global, multidisciplinary teams, including product strategy, sales, compliance, technology, and across our marketing teams (brand, creative, digital, channel, financial writers)
  • An analytical, results-oriented approach to decision-making, both in the day-to-day management and in making strategic trade-offs, ensuring decisions are rooted in business impact
  • Self-starter with strong production and demonstrated experience effectively managing multiple stakeholders and competing objectives
  • Outstanding project management and organization skills, with experience leading strategic and tactical marketing initiatives
  • Intellectual curiosity, creativity, and ability to learn new concepts quickly and complete multiple and diverse assignments with the highest level of quality
  • Aptitude for public speaking in both formal and informal settings
  • Strong written communication skills - delivering a compelling message with brevity
  • Articulates priorities and ensures management focus, alignment, and accountability
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience marketing alternatives products, including private credit or real estate desirable
  • Previous experience using analytics to understand patterns and behaviors to inform business and marketing strategy
  • Knowledge of financial promotions regulations in the U.S. and key non-U.S. jurisdictions beneficial
  • Experience with A/B testing or other types of digital marketing experimentation is an added benefit
  • MBA degree, CFA designation, or progress toward either / both desirable
PIMCO follows a total compensation approach when rewarding employees which includes a base salary and a discretionary bonus. Base salary is the fixed component of compensation that is determined by core job responsibilities, relevant experience, internal level, and market factors. The discretionary bonus is used to award performance and therefore is determined by company, business, team, and individual performance.

Salary Range: $ 92,500.00 - $ 116,000.00
