Position Description

The Private Financing Asset Manager will play a critical and central role in supporting the smooth operation of the closing activities and post-close surveillance and management of financing transactions for the Private Financing Desk with respect to our Alternatives Business

Responsibilities

• Assist PMs with any financing related processes, including lender diligence and credit approval
• Covenant Tracking on financed positions
• Reporting on financing and liquidity
• Work with Trade Assistants and Trade Compliance to ensure smooth trade flow process
• Coordinate all aspects of the diligence and closing process for approved financings
• Coordinate documentation requests with audit firms, rating agencies, financing banks and sponsor banks
• Liaise with PM and all relevant support groups (Internal Legal/Ops/Finance/Tax/TAs/Asset Management) to ensure all internal policies and processes have been completed prior to close
• Assist PMs with Desk's deal pipeline management - including deal setup in Deal Cloud, monitoring and updating settlement information, coordinating with Alts Operations and Alts Finance on timing for liquidity purposes, as well as verifying pipeline info is properly flowing through to downstream reporting and work-streams
• Responding to ad-hoc requests from Portfolio Management and other groups, as necessary
• Assist in the development and administration of internal surveillance processes with respect to financing

Position Requirements

• 5+ years of experience; strong, relevant internship experience acceptable
• Bachelor's degree and strong academic record with concentration in math, science, finance, economics, legal or other related quantitative/analytical field from a leading, accredited college or university
• Fixed Income technical skills and experience in a buy or sell side trade room preferred
• Compliance related experience a plus
• Strong relationship skills and proven ability to build strong relationships with Portfolio Managers
• Well-refined communications skills - ability to articulate ideas and strategies clearly, both verbally and in writing
• Outstanding analytical skills
• Proven ability to operate efficiently in a high-pressure environment
• Enjoy working collaboratively across the organization (especially with account managers) to resolve issues
• Advanced abilities with Excel, SQL, business objects, and Bloomberg

PIMCO follows a total compensation approach when rewarding employees which includes a base salary and a discretionary bonus. Base salary is the fixed component of compensation that is determined by core job responsibilities, relevant experience, internal level, and market factors. The discretionary bonus is used to award performance and therefore is determined by company, business, team, and individual performance.

Salary Range: $ 117,500.00 - $ 140,000.00
