JOB DESCRIPTION

PIMCO is currently seeking a Portfolio Management Support- Sr. Associate focusing on volatility and relative value trading strategies and providing operational support to the Portfolio Management group.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Drives Hedge fund hub efforts with Technology including automation and controls
  • Utilize technical and coding skills to automate manual repetitive processes on both PM & PA sides
  • Partner with Hedge Fund PMs, Tech and Portfolio Associates to drive strategic projects forward
  • Trade Allocation, Trade Sizing and Order management along with Strategy tagging and PnL reconciliation to back up Hedge fund Portfolio Associate team when needed
  • Assist PMs in executing options across asset classes, with a heavy focus on interest rate options
  • Handle expiries of options
  • Assist with booking of options trades
  • Assist with post-trade trade management and optimization, including CVA charges, UMR margin requirements, and clearinghouse margin balances
  • Understand how relative value trades are constructed and how to construct a portfolio of such trades
  • Learn how to risk manage portfolios that primarily consist of options and assist in scenario analysis and hedging
REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum one year of relevant, transferable experience working on a trade floor
  • Knowledge of fixed income products, with a focus on interest rate options
  • Bachelor's degree required; strong academic credentials
  • Understanding of macroeconomics and the drivers of economic trends
  • Ability to work across the organization in a collaborative manner
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Collaborative nature; must thrive in working together with others
  • Ability to remain calm and objective in the face of periods of excessive optimism or extreme pessimism in the capital markets
  • Unassailable ethics and integrity
PIMCO follows a total compensation approach when rewarding employees which includes a base salary and a discretionary bonus. Base salary is the fixed component of compensation that is determined by core job responsibilities, relevant experience, internal level, and market factors. The discretionary bonus is used to award performance and therefore is determined by company, business, team, and individual performance.

Salary Range: $ 127,500.00 - $ 144,500.00
